Social Compliance in Practice: Forum Held in Ethiopia

International Associates recently hosted a WRAP forum in Ethiopia focused on Social Compliance in Practice: Meeting WRAP Standards.” The session brought together manufacturers, compliance professionals, and industry stakeholders for a focused exchange on the practical application of social compliance requirements.

The discussion centred on how established standards can be effectively translated into day-to-day operational practices within manufacturing and supply chain environments. Key themes included strengthening internal compliance systems, supporting worker wellbeing, and improving consistency in implementation across global supply chains.

Participants also shared practical experiences and approaches to addressing real-world challenges in meeting compliance expectations. The dialogue highlighted the importance of embedding compliance principles into operational processes, ensuring they are not only understood at policy level but applied consistently on the ground.

Held on Thursday, 2nd July at the Nexus Hotel in Addis Ababa, the forum formed part of International Associates’ ongoing engagement with industry stakeholders to support responsible and sustainable business practices.

International Associates would like to thank all participants for their valuable contributions and active engagement throughout the session.
